Waltham Abbey Church wedding photography – Lucy & Martin’s wedding
The weather god’s were definitely on Lucy and Martin’s side on their wedding day at Waltham Abbey Church. Quite recently we have had maybe the worse weather in the UK. So having the warm sun out was a welcome indeed and a blessed start to Lucy and Martin’s special day.
When I spoke with Martin the night before Martin said to me; “John, I want some swagger in my images. I want you to make me look like something that has just been pulled off of a GQ magazine. I loved this from Martin because it showed me he was up for a good time in front of the lens, which I definitely think came through in the final images.
I also spoke with Lucy the night before to see how she was doing. It was a glass of wine and a Chinese with the girls. Lucy sounded calm and relaxed for her big day.
The wedding day started very calm. The sun was out. Me and my second shooter meet with Martin as we all waited for Lucy to arrive. The excitement was in the air and me and Martin decided to take some portraits of him on his special day. He was looking sharp and definitely worked his stuff, which I think came through in the finally images, too.
I could tell right from our initial consultation that this wedding was going to be one to remember. I can usually tell by the energy of a couple when we first meet. And Lucy and Martin were a special couple indeed. Full of laughs, good energy, and very good looking couple.
The whole day went perfectly. Laughter. Tears. Breath being swept away by emotion.
Lucy and Martin – we wish you all the love in the world x
